National Mason Jar Day in YGK
Updated: Jan 15, 2022

November 30th marks National Mason Jar Day, and to be completely honest, I had never heard of this day until yesterday. However, I thought that this post would be a great way to introduce you to a few small local businesses that use mason jars to sell their amazing products!
Cheesecakery Bakery
3005 Forest Road, Harrowsmith, ON

You may have seen these delicious creations in stores from Kingston to the GTA, and everywhere in between, but did you know that the Cheesecakery Bakery is actually a small locally owned business?
I have personally tried a few of these cheesecakes and they are even better than what you could imagine. ALSO, I love how creative they get with their flavours!
For example, this holiday season they have the 12 Jars of Christmas for pre-order by December 3rd at 11:59 PM, with flavours not available in stores! These flavours include literally ALL of my holiday favourites including (but not limited to): Turtles, Lindor, Terry's Chocolate Orange, Ferrero Rocher, Toblerone, Candy Cane, and After Eight.
Treat yourself to one of the Cheesecakery Bakery's creations this holiday season, you will not regret it!
Bread and Butter
1530 Bath Road, Kingston, ON

The Bread and Butter Bakery has been a staple in the Kingston community for an incredibly long time, and rightfully so!
They have everything from fresh bread, to mouth-watering muffins (their Banana Chocolate Chunk ones are to die for), to delicious pies and cakes.
NOW I come to find they have homemade raspberry and blueberry jam starting at only $8.95, and homemade ketchup for $4.50!
As a jam and ketchup kind of gal, I know these products will be finding a way into my shopping cart very soon...
Now for the last one on our National Mason Jar Day in YGK list:
Sage Flowers
706 Front Road, Kingston, ON

When I came across these beautiful arrangements at Sage Flowers I was absolutely stunned. I love any type of home or office decoration that has that 'farmhouse' style and feel to it, and these are right on the mark.
Imagine these flowers in a room with rustic or wooden furniture, and maybe a few signs made of barn wood. These flowers in a mason jar would make a great centre piece to tie the whole look together!
If you made it this far, thank you for continuing on, and if you didn't, well you're not going to read this anyways :)
We'll have more blog posts like this coming up spotlighting local businesses and their products in the Kingston and surrounding area, so definitely follow us on our Facebook and Instagram Page to stay in the loop! Thanks for your support, and don't forget to shop local!
